BIOPSIES

Unlocking Answers, Ensuring Care

Radiology Associates is dedicated to providing advanced biopsy services in a compassionate and patient-centered environment. Our state-of-the-art facility offers specialized biopsy procedures for breast, thyroid, and soft tissue, utilizing the latest technology to obtain precise tissue samples for accurate diagnosis.

Early detection is crucial in the management and treatment of breast conditions. Our breast biopsy service is designed for women who have abnormalities detected during mammography, ultrasound, or MRI screenings, as well as palpable lumps or changes in breast tissue. We offer several types of breast biopsies, including:

Stereotactic Breast Biopsy: Utilizes mammography to guide the biopsy needle to the precise location of the breast abnormality. (available at Chinook Regional Hospital only)

Ultrasound-Guided Biopsy: Employs ultrasound imaging to locate the area of concern and guide the biopsy procedure.

Each method is selected based on the individual patient’s needs, ensuring the most accurate and minimally invasive approach is used.

Thyroid nodules or irregularities often require a biopsy to determine if they are benign or indicative of thyroid cancer. Ultrasound-guided thyroid biopsy is a quick and minimally invasive procedure that is essential for developing an appropriate treatment plan, offering peace of mind and clarity for our patients.

Beyond breast and thyroid biopsies, Radiology Associates offers a wide range of biopsy services to address a variety of conditions. Whether it’s a suspicious lump, a lesion detected in an organ, or any other concern requiring tissue sampling, our team is equipped with the expertise and technology to perform:

For investigating abnormalities in muscles, fat, and connective tissue.

For evaluating swelling or abnormalities in lymph nodes.
